Vitamin E natural uses:
Vitamins in skin and hair care products have two different purposes:
1. Most vitamins act as antioxidants, i.e. they prevent fat and oil from going rancid in the product and later on
the skin.
2. To have a certain effect on the skin! Of course, we can absorb certain vitamins through the skin (a controversial fact). What benefit can they possibly provide? Can the skin be deficient in vitamins?
What is concentrated vitamin E oil good for?
1. Antioxidant Protection:
- Just like in its less concentrated form, Vitamin E is known for its strong antioxidant properties. It protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals, UV rays and pollution, helping to prevent premature aging and damage to the skin barrier.
2. Skin healing and repair:
- Concentrated vitamin E oil is powerful when it comes to repairing damaged skin, reducing scarring, and speeding up the healing of small wounds or burns. However, because it is so concentrated, it should always be mixed with a carrier oil (such as jojoba oil, almond oil, or coconut oil) before applying to the skin.
3. Hydration and elasticity:
- By mixing vitamin E oil with another carrier oil, you can create a powerful moisturizing treatment for the skin, which also improves elasticity and reduces visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines.
### How is concentrated vitamin E oil used?
1. Mix with carrier oils:
- Concentrated vitamin E oil should always be diluted with a carrier oil, such as almond oil, jojoba oil, or argan oil, before applying to the skin. A safe starting point is to mix 1–2 drops of vitamin E oil with 10 ml (about 2 teaspoons) of the carrier oil. This makes it safer to use on the face or other sensitive areas.
2. Add to skin care products:
- You can also mix a few drops of the concentrated vitamin E oil into your regular moisturizer, body lotion, or serum for an extra antioxidant boost. This way, you get the benefits of vitamin E without the risk of skin irritation.
3. Hair care treatment:
- For hair, you can mix vitamin E oil with other oils like coconut oil or olive oil and massage the mixture into your scalp and hair lengths. This helps repair damaged hair, promote hair growth, and moisturize dry scalp.
4. Nail and cuticle care:
- To strengthen nails and cuticles, you can mix vitamin E oil with a carrier oil and massage the mixture around the cuticles to promote healthier nail growth and prevent brittle nails.
Important tips for safe use:
- Always dilute: Because concentrated vitamin E oil is very powerful, it is important to never apply it directly to the skin. Always dilute the oil before use.
- **Do a patch test:** Before applying the mixture to larger areas of skin, do a patch test on a small area of skin to see if you react to the oil.
- **Use with caution on the face:** If using blended vitamin E oil on the face, avoid areas near the eyes and start with a small amount to see how your skin reacts.
Summary:
Concentrated Vitamin E oil is a powerful antioxidant and moisturizer, but it should always be diluted before using on the skin or hair. When used correctly, it can help protect the skin from damage, repair scars, and promote healthy skin and hair. It can be mixed with other oils or skin care products to give them a nutritional boost and maximize the positive effects of Vitamin E.
