Who doesn't love the scent of jasmine? Jasmine flowers grow on shrubs that primarily grow in India and Egypt.

There are two species whose flowers contain so much essential oil that an extract can be obtained (jasmine absolute): jasmine grandiflorum (fragrant jasmine) and jasmine sambac (Arabian/Indian jasmine).

It takes 1000 kilos of jasmine flowers to produce a few kilos of absolute!

Jasmine absolute is one of the most important floral ingredients in the perfume world.

Jasmine is special because the essential oil cannot be distilled. It must be extracted with solvents such as hexane or, as was done previously, with various types of fat (mainly lard).

This also means that there is never any hydrolate (floral water) when producing jasmine absolute. So to produce hydrolate, you have to distill fresh flowers and thus get a jasmine-scented water. Jasmine water is therefore not a by-product.

Jasmine hydrolate has a distinct jasmine scent, not as strong and dominant as jasmine absolute, but it also doesn't become as dominant when used on the body.

Jasmine hydrolate has only one purpose and that is to smell good and make us smell good and feel good!

The water can be used as a room spray, facial toner, facial cleanser, etc.

It can also be used in "water products" instead of pure water, such as facial toner, facial cleanser, cleansing gel, various types of hair shampoo and liquid soap.

If it is mixed with other ingredients, it must be preserved to ensure good shelf life!

If it is used in products for sale, it must be preserved to pass stress tests that must be carried out according to cosmetics legislation.
